TAUGHT POSTGRADUATE STUDIES
Taught postgraduate programmes focus on coursework and are primarily designed to equip students with professional knowledge on a particular subject.
The structure of these programmes varies by programme and subject area. Most courses are conducted through lectures, seminars, tutorials and group discussions. Some programmes may require students to participate in group projects and to write essays and dissertations. Students are assessed for each course taken and may be required to sit for examinations and tests.
Depending on the programme requirements and the level of study, taught postgraduate programmes lead to Doctoral degrees, Master’s degrees and Postgraduate Diplomas/Certificates, such as Doctor of Business Administration (D.B.A.), Master of Arts (M.A.), Master of Science (M.Sc.), Postgraduate Certificate in Laws (PCLL), etc.
Universities in Hong Kong offer a wide range of taught postgraduate programmes at different levels. We encourage applicants from around the world to request catalogues from our graduate schools to learn more about these programmes.
